River trips will pick up from Newark, Farndon and Kelham Hall.
Newark Hoverflights Ltd. currently has permission to use 4 other locations in the area:
Kelham Hall & Country Park
Kelham Hall and Country Park has 84 acres of ground and River Trent bank frontage. It’s approximately 3 miles north of Newark on the A617.
Southwell Racecourse is available for land based activity and has many acres of usable land and may be an option if more convenient for some people. This site will not however be available on Race days and major events. It is however a lovely location. It is accessible off the A617 though Averham, Staythorpe, and then right in the village of Rolleston. Alternatively from Southwell turn off between the Filling Station and Southwell Court Care Home
Newark Showground is also a great venue and will be available for us to use. It is off the A46 at the roundabout with the A1331 to the east (Lincoln side) of Newark. It has an old WW2 runway and spacious grounds within the complex. At this site we will offer short land based runs at an attractively reduced price which should make a ’taster’ experience affordable to everyone. The Showground will also be an ideal venue for birthday party activities. On land we can carry up to 10 passengers (payload permitting) at a time.
Holme Pierrepont National Water Sports Centre
Holme Pierrepont National Water Sports Centre at Nottingham is just off the A52 at West Bridgford. This is a great venue with the use of water facilities and ground. It has a 2000m course which is great especially for high speed running. When this sometimes freezes over in winter it would be a great place to try ‘flying’ on ice and snow! Acres of country Park are also available and direct access is available from the site onto the River Trent, then under Trent Bridge, past the Embankment and up to Clifton.
All of the above sites have great potential to make full use of the hovercrafts potential and turn your ‘flight’ into a lasting memory of a unique and quite amazing new experience!
Bespoke Venue bookings
The above are pre-arranged/agreed venues. However, the craft is easily transported by road trailer and thus we would consider any venue or site suggested by an event organiser subject to us being able to obtain the necessary landowner’s approval and at our final discretion.
We must of course reserve the right to make the final decision as to where we operate, subject to suitability, authority and safety considerations. The director/pilot’s decision is final.
